If you have long hair, continue braiding a regular braid with the remaining hair.Continue braiding until you reach the other side of your parting. Once you reach the back, bend the braid to align with the curve of the head.Begin weaving the braid from any one side of the parting. Pick up some hair from the front and divide it into the required sections based on the type of braid you want.If you want to start the crown braid from behind, you can part your hair at the back and weave your braid forward. While the crown braid most commonly starts at the front of the head, there are some exceptions like the milkmaid braid.You can also weave a crown braid without any parting. Your crown braid will begin and end on either side of the parting. Part your hair the way you prefer it – down the middle or on one side.
